#Weekending in Peterborough, the town with the same tomorrows

Studies show that people who take part in extra-curricular activities are better problem-solvers and more creative. So, over the summer we’ll share what we like to do in our spare time.

Kicking off our #weekending series is our digital content and creative content intern, Vy Do and her recent travels to Peterborough.

I arrived at Peterborough on a Saturday morning and visited the farmers’ market near the bus terminal. People set up stalls in a car park and sold organic or homemade foods. You can try Doo Doo’s butter tarts from the baker who won in the Ontario Butter Tart festival in 2015 and 2016. Cheesecake butter tart is worth a try.

In Peterborough, the days pass unnoticeably, and I have a feeling that all its tomorrows are the same.

Peterborough is a town so small that even when you close your eyes and walk in a random direction, you can never get lost. Anywhere you go in the downtown area, you see the market hall landmark. It stands there as a mocking reminder that you can’t escape, that no matter how far you travel you will eventually end up where you started.
