Simplicity never goes out of style (and sex too)

A little while back, a colleague was talking about a client campaign where they explored things that don’t go out of style.

Twitter trends tell you what people are talking about right now.

And that has an effect on what’s hot in searches on Google Trends.

But sometimes what’s hot right now has always been that way.

So this month, the APEX team is exploring things that never go out of style.

It’s been said that,

“Style is a simple way of saying complicated things.”

With that in mind, one thing that never goes out of style is simplicity.

Specifically simplicity in communicating, like the succinctness of a tweet or the right image in ad, can cut through our overcomplicated tendencies and offer something timeless.

Getty Images did exactly that by selling their stock photography in a way all humans can relate – by tapping into our innate desires for love and bingo.

It’s like 873 pictures are worth so much more than 1,000 words.
