
Kaitlin Blackburn is APEX’s newest Account Manager. For more than 5 years she’s worked on award-winning campaigns for consumer, corporate and health clients.
1. How has your past work or volunteer experience helped you in your current position?
Throughout my career I’ve worked solely in agencies and focused on consumer/lifestyle clients for the most part. Agency is incredibly fast paced and always changing, and that’s exactly why I like it. Small agencies in particular, are scrappy, nimble and highly creative and this has shaped how I work, achieve results and assist my clients.
2. What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?
Professionally, I am passionate about big, bold, out of the box ideas and I live for campaigns that pull on the heart-strings.
My current passion project in my personal life is my apartment. Renovating my new apartment has been my main focus for a number of months and I love the transformation we’ve made so far!
3. What moment or accomplishment in your career are you most proud of?
There have been many amazing moments throughout my career but celebrating Barbie’s 60th Anniversary was certainly a highlight. It was a big task but there was an amazing turnout and even better results – all the hard work paid off.
4. Is there something you hope to achieve while at Apex?
My main goal at any given time to continue my career growth. The best part about joining a new agency is learning from new people and having different perspectives, so I’m excited to learn from my new colleagues!
5. Three interesting facts about yourself.
I’m strangely skilled at remembering song lyrics even after only listening to a song once.
I love a little friendly competition – I love to win but I’m not a sore loser!
I once recorded a song in Nashville, TN. I can’t sing so the song is not up for others to listen – sorry!!
