Our Intern Coordinator, Kanishka Punjabi told us more about herself and her path to PR.
- What got you into PR?
Since 15, I knew I wanted to do something creative in my life, something that brought a difference to the way we perceive things and I feel PR is a field that gives me that sense of fulfillment. I have been passionate about image reputation for more than 6 to 7 years. It is possibly the only field that lets me combine my two strengths–communication and content creation.
2. What accomplishments are you proud of so far in your career?
I am proud that I have experiences that know no boundary (literally). I have been able to learn how to tailor my skills to diverse corporate communications and public relations projects around the world. I’m proud to say that I have taken the big step of expanding my knowledge and I am working toward a global-scale experience
3. What are you most passionate about professionally and personally?
I am extremely passionate about telling stories professionally. As a PR professional the better story you tell, the more immaculate you are with it, the more successful you are. Personally, I am very passionate about exploring nature, going on hikes, biking, or discovering new trails.
4. What do you do outside of work?
My days outside work are spent catching up with friends or exploring different conservation parks; also reading books!
5. How do you stay up to date with news and trends?
Social media and mobile applications of different media outlets are my sources of keeping up to date with the latest trends and news.
