For the most part, I have never considered myself the most talented.
My life revolves a lot around competition. I have played sports for as long as I can remember.
I have studied things I was no good at, and even coming into PR – it was a foreign industry to me. But that never stopped me – I knew there would be people better than me when I first started, but I knew I would get there. Being more talented than me or having more knowledge than me is just more fuel to my fire. If you’re faster than me while playing soccer – I will work twice as hard to get faster and stronger than you. In elementary school many people knew their multiplications tables better than me at first – that didn’t last long because I spent extra hours learning them. And in PR – I came into this industry with zero knowledge and experience in the field and with many people knowing more than me – but as I mentioned – it is the fuel to my fire. I have worked extremely hard to get to where I am in the PR field and I think there are still people who are more talented, but I will be better than them because I know I will work twice as hard as they do to do so.
