Swinging into our sweet 16th year of business and hot on the heels of launching our social-agency ruckus digital, we have added a diverse group of communication experts from across Canada to our award winning corporate, tech and consumer teams.

“APEX is in an exciting period of development and we are really impressed with the level of experience and diversity these strong practitioners bring to our agency,” said Linda Andross, President of APEX Public Relations. “Their broad range of experience in agency, public affairs, internal communications, strategy and in working abroad make them ideally suited to amplify APEX’s power of persuasion model.”

Account Director, Corporate & Technology, Diane Bégin @dibegin has worked in corporate communications in both agency and client-side environments in eastern and western Canada. Diane’s passion is in community engagement via digital and social media, an area in which she teaches at the University of Toronto. A francophone Albertan, Diane spent four years at Alberta’s largest technical institute, NAIT. Diane also helped reinvent the alumni publication as associate and online editor of techlife magazine – securing best new magazine at the Western Magazine Awards. Her client-side work also includes time with the Alberta Motor Association, Alberta Chambers of Commerce and the Canadian Federation of Independent Business.

Rohini Mukherji @RohiniMJ, Account Director, Consumer, has over nine years of experience in public relations, predominantly within the consumer packaged goods and food and beverage sectors. Rohini has also worked with clients such as Barilla, The World Wildlife Fund, Beiersdorf (the makers of NIVEA, Eucerin and Elastoplast), PepsiCo, Unilever, Aroma Espresso Bar, Glenfiddich Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Pier 1 Imports and Clorox. In 2011, Rohini moved to Beijing where she was part of the corporate and consumer practices of a leading international public relations firm, working on clients such as the Almond Board of Canada, the International Olive Council, the City of Beijing and Haier.

Merissa King @MerissaWK is our newest Account Manager with eight years of experience in finance, energy, legal and non-profit sectors. Merissa specializes in internal and external communication, media relations, and print and digital content development. At Nalcor Energy, she managed the company’s provincial electricity education and safety program, corporate donation and sponsorship program, and media relations for Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro. In her role of Manager Internal Communications at TD, Merissa focused on educating employees on current regulatory and compliance responsibilities, and managing employee events and giving programs.
