1. Tell us about yourself.
I’m passionate about all things communication, art, and fun! I have always had a magnetic attraction towards being curious about the world and the people in it. I have a lust for life and sometimes don’t know what to do with all of my energy, but that is why I enjoy always being on the go or creating in some way, shape, or form.
2. What got you into PR?
I initially started in advertising but started getting exposed to PR because, with the addition of social media in the past 10-15 years, it has started organically taking the lead as the future of the two industries. On top of that, I found the research portion super intriguing. I have always found myself surrounded by various archetypes in my life and have gained a certain understanding of people and their behavioural makeup.
3. What are you most excited about this year?
This year has started on an amazingly positive note! After just graduating a couple of months ago, I’m ecstatic to have the opportunity to have a placement at APEX PR. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with. I plan to focus on continuing to build my career, be open to new opportunities, and look forward to not knowing what is going to happen!
4. What is your favourite pastime?
It’s super hard for me to wind down, so if I’m not at work, I’m usually creating art, helping friends with projects, or simply seeing what’s going on in the city. I’m a huge music nerd so I’m always on the hunt for new concerts to go to.
5. What are your go-to sources for news, entertainment, insight?
Instagram and twitter, DUH! What kind of millennial would I be if that wasn’t my answer? But I also have to be an adult and go to credible news sources because we can’t believe everything we read on social media, so I have some handy dandy apps on my phone and I sometimes even read the NEWSPAPER! Entertainment is usually YouTube, Netflix, and listening to podcasts— one of my most recent favourites being “The Pivot” with Ken Evans (shameless plug!).
