BMO Bank of Montreal wanted to demonstrate to small business owners its expertise in helping businesses enhance bottom line and operational performance – from cash flow management to online marketing to succession planning. BMO engaged APEX for its widespread expertise in social media and media relations. Together, we developed a series of advice-oriented podcasts, supported by a proactive social and media relations drive. Hosted by PROFIT Magazine editor Ian Portsmouth with guest appearances by BMO financial experts, the digital communication allowed BMO to engage a specific client segment with value-added insights that had viral appeal and potential. Now in its third season, tens of thousands of Canadian entrepreneurs have tuned in via canadianbusiness.com, bmo.com and iTunes.
