Do You Remember Your First Bike?

APEX Public Relations creates non-profit organization
to bring bikes to disadvantaged kids

Toronto, February 28, 2003 — Do you remember your first bike? Most people do — and it is a memory they cherish. But for the children whose parents can only afford the basics, a bicycle is a luxury out of their reach. Responding to this need, On Your Bike!, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing used bicycles to disadvantaged children, launched its services today at the Toronto International Bike Show.

Founded by APEX Public Relations of Toronto, On Your Bike! will be collecting, repairing and donating used bicycles to community organizations.

"This program is a way for APEX to give back to the community in a manner that is both practical and fun," said Pat McNamara, director, On Your Bike! "Our team is looking forward to literally getting their hands dirty helping Toronto kids in need."

The goal of On Your Bike! is to gather second-hand bicycles, repair them and donate them to disadvantaged children through service organizations across the city. The organization will also collect new and used bike parts, tires and helmets to ensure that bicycles are safe and ready for the road.

On Your Bike! is a non-profit organization founded by APEX Public Relations of Toronto. For further information on donating used bikes, volunteer opportunities, and information on how to qualify for a used bike please call (416) 962-BIKE (2453) or visit www.onyourbike.ca.
