Team Canada and Nike leave a Lasting Footprint on Vancouver

Today, Team Canada members, Gillian Apps, Jayna Hefford and Jennifer Botterill dropped off their old running shoes at the Nike Robson street store to kick off Nike's Reuse-A-Shoe drive. In partnership with the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC), Nike announced its plans to refurbish a court surface in Vancouver with a collection of re-purposed, old running shoes.

Nike launches the N7 program in Canada
Feb 11, 2010Nike announced its commitment to increase access to sport in Aboriginal communities across Canada through the Nike N7 program. Nike General Manager for N7 Sam McCracken and N7 Creative Director Wilson Smith were joined by Four Host First Nations CEO Tewanee Joseph and Aboriginal athletes to announce the initiative in Vancouver.

Cross Canada in Street View

Today Google added more than 130 additional cities and towns across Canada to Street View on Google Maps, in addition to the competition venues in Vancouver and Whistler, parts of Whistler Mountain, Whistler Village, the Vancouver Athletes' Village and Vancouver's Stanley Park. This imagery includes the first special collection of Street View imagery in Canada.
