UPS Celebrates 35 Years in Canada!
Mar 09, 2010UPS Canada blew out the candles on its birthday cake on Feb. 28, toasting 35 years of success in Canada. When the company first came to Canada in 1975, its first shipment was completed at Butterick Fashions Marketing in downtown Toronto -- using an old-fashioned Checker Cab. Thirty-five years later, UPS Canada is connecting its Canadian customers with markets all over the world, utilizing 11,000 employees and 54 package operations facilities located throughout the nation.

New UPS Hub to Connect Calgary to World
Mar 09, 2010On Feb. 22, UPS Canada opened the doors of its new 150,000 square-foot distribution centre at the Calgary International Airport (YYC), a state-of-the-art hub to provide businesses with direct access to the U.S. and international markets. The facility, built at a cost of $30 million, will be central to the continued growth of Alberta's economy, allowing local businesses to tap into global growth markets such as China, India and Mexico.
