1. As an individual who others follow for fashion and beauty news, what topic, person or hashtag do you follow religiously for inspiration/news?

“Because I write and create content almost exclusively about fashion and beauty, those are the two topics I follow religiously. Those and also décor because I find that trends in fashion can overlap into décor and vice-versa. My go-tos are Manrepeller, Vogue Anonymous, and Fashionista. Manrepeller for a laugh, Vogue Anonymous for a critical view on fashion and Fashionista for up-to-date news on designers, magazines and shopping. When it comes to beauty, I pay attention to YouTubers and beauty bloggers. I love to read and watch xoVain, Temptalia, Wayne Goss, Glam Life Guru and Alessandra Steinherr. They always have the most honest opinions on new products and give sneak peeks of upcoming brand collaborations. “

2. Why do you follow that topic?

“I follow influencers who are fearless, funny, honest, and on top of their game. I also follow these people because they are early adopters. When I see some of the people who inspire me trying a new trend or social media platform, I know they are trying to stay relevant and I should take notes.”

3. Why should others follow them?

“Since fashion and beauty brands now do so much of their marketing through bloggers and YouTubers, its hard to navigate between what is an honest opinion and what is an ad. The people I’ve mentioned above all offer something different but have the same unfiltered honesty that I trust. At some point all of these people have either changed the way I look at fashion or turned me onto a life-changing product. If you’re into fashion and beauty, you need these influencers in your life (and Instagram feed)!”
